Expanding Range
WIP Wednesday
Writing Editing: Made it past chapter one. That’s a big deal. I am so nitpicky about chapter one, and on my first editing pass I go deep. I made some notes of things I want to work on and keep in mind as I edit.
There’s always something. Striving to expand my range and push my skill level to new heights is just how I roll.
Work has made finding my editing feet really hard lately. So, I’ve started getting up extra early to give myself at least 20 minutes before the day imposes itself on my creative brainwaves.
Authorlife and Non Authorlife: After Rifters, the Hybrids series is on my schedule. To get ready for a total renovation, I unpublished The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear. The story will still exist, but it’s getting: heavy edit, new title, and a new cover.
Been working on content loading and finally finished over the weekend. Could have finished sooner, but I had to go and decide to make videos instead of static images (rolling eyes at myself).
Seedlings are sprouting in the baggies. So, the garden is getting going. Starting Friday, I’m on vacation!! I couldn’t be more excited. Will definitely dedicate a lot of it to editing, but will also make the annual trip to the nursery and start moving seedlings to their summer homes. I also plan to make a few day trips to get outside and enjoy the natural wonder that is Oregon.
So, yeah, VACATION!! It’s very much needed. I don’t even want to start on how much of Colin Robinson work has been… like meltdown territory. But for some reason, after a few days of Defcon: death metal to cope and things just being abysmal, my psyche bounced back last Friday with a healthy dose of confidence. How, why? I don’t know. But I do start everyday with a plan of attack and a good attitude, and I’ll take the win.
How are are your projects? Did you have a good week?
