The four stories in The Rogue Element are based on the elements of air, dirt, fire, and water. The Vagaries of Eloise Stanton represents the element of fire. The inspiration comes from an exhibit at the Albright Knox art gallery in Buffalo, New York. There was this room you could walk inside (that’s right you could walk inside the art) entirely made of mirrors. Oh, I found an image of it online if you want to see it.
