The David Cassidy Coup

Inspiration Thursday

While in survival mode last week and counting down the hours, I suddenly had to, that’s right absolutely had to, make a new playlist. And let me tell you, it’s one crazy playlist from every era of my life. It includes: punk, power metal, hard rock, David Cassidy, reggae, pop, etc… Just really kind of bonkers. Especially when Clay Aiken is followed by The Dead Kennedys. But I love it.

Anyway, I set it to play, then hit shuffle. Now there are other artists with way more songs on the list than David Cassidy, but for some reason the list just kept going back to David every few songs. I mean, I put him on there, so I obviously enjoy, but… it was just odd.

I got to wondering: was David executing a coup on the other genres, and my writer brain went, hmm. Hmm, in there’s a story So yeah, I came up with this ridiculously wild idea that is now in my writing pipeline. So many stories, so little time.
